Hotel bar
Situated on the corner of St Martin’s Street and Orange Street, Joshua's Tavern is within the impressive new Londoner Hotel, described as a super-boutique "iceberg hotel"with more space underground than above!. The bar is at level minus-1 from the hotel main foyer but as the hotel handily slopes downhill, the bar is in fact accessible from street level at the south-east corner of the hotel complex.
The tavern is described as a neighbourhood gastro bar and the name is a homage to the artist Sir Joshua Reynolds who lived in the area. The bar focus is on gin including decades-old vintage gins, but copper tank draught beer is also served. The limited food offering in the bar comprises upmarket bites and "Tavern Tid-Bits". Restaurant food is of course available elsewhere in the hotel.
The rather spectacular murals are by En Viu. Prices reflect the 5-star hotel ambience. Note the limited opening hours and service charge if you want table service.
