15th century "shabby chic" pub.
Closed: March 2019. Planning Application: 21/01422 - Internal works. Granted: Dec 2021. Work would indicate that the pub is going to reopen as a pub & restaurant.
This 15th century timber framed building with its eclectic mix of 'shabby chic' and 'old coaching inn' offers a calm, relaxed and comfortable place for a drink and a chat.
Up to five ales, invariably from Kent microbreweries, are available on handpump or KeyKeg.
Entertainment includes live music, open mic nights, quiz nights with cocktails being served on Friday & Saturday from 5-7pm. Food is kept simple with sandwiches and sharing platters on offer.
Please note that this is an 'archaic establishment' in that they only accept cash.
