This Victorian pub is officially the lowest in England and is named after one of Nelson's pall bearers. There are two bar/lounge areas and conservatory dining room in the main building and a separate function room. Marquee and children's play area in the large garden. Next to the old Holme railway station and the East Coast mainline, the walls are adorned with photographs from the steam railway days. Up to five real ales normally available, occasionally including alcohol-free Ghost Ship on draught.
