A three-roomed oasis on the edge of an industrial estate, pub is licensed in Bolton but you would not think so given the location of the boundary sign! Lots of fake Tudor beams and mock stone bar. Small drinking areas outside, front and back. Children welcome until 7 p.m, but no prams or pushchairs, unless folded up. Pub closing times are described as late, so may be earlier than shown especially midweek.

In 1982 it was a Burtonwood pub selling Dark Mild and Bitter (E) later (H)

The Champion Beer of Britain is one of the most prestigious beer competitions in the world. It is the ultimate honour for UK brewers and has helped put many into the national spotlight.
Judging for the competition takes around a year, starting with individual nominations from CAMRA members and tasting panel nominations, leading to a series of rigorous regional heats adhering to a strict blind tasting policy.
