Historic brew-house offering friendly welcome in secluded location on wooded hillside with paths and footbridge to nearby Blists Hill and the World Heritage Area. A small locally renowned institution untouched by modern fads. One of the Famous Four last brew pubs, a cosy log-burner warms the pub in winter and there is a pretty beer garden for the warmer months and soon there will be camping facilities in the rear field. Dog and child friendly, fresh rolls are made to order (cheese and onion and black pudding toasty a speciality). TV is set up in the bar for major rugby matches only. Perry sometimes available. Evening times may vary. Check before travelling.
