Prominent pub on the market square, next to the church with its rare octagonal tower. The pub features an inglenook fireplace with log-burning stove. There are five real ales, often local, and always including a dark beer, plus up to 10 real ciders. Customers can select music from a large vinyl selection which is a popular feature with customers. There are occasional live bands. Many customers are accompanied by canine companions. Park on the square or in the council car park to the rear.
