This slate-flagged, stone-walled and wood-beamed former coaching house dates from before 1825, and is a warm, friendly and traditional locals' pub. Originally church owned, the pub was mainly for the workers building a church extension close by. The bar room has long been opened out, but there are still clear drinking spaces including a raised seating area, a comfortable 'snug' with an upright piano, a pool table near the door, and a large, tiered, decked garden at the rear. Liskeard's music pub hosts live music every month or so and a quiz night on Tuesdays.
