Hotel - bar/restaurant is open to non-residents
Lively pub right next to the railway line - a good train spotters' pub.
Premises split with bar on the left of the front door and restaurant dining to the right. South facing outside seating including some table/bench combos over the road on a grassy area under a tree. Area very quiet with county views but noisy as passing trains break the peace. Great to observe the various configurations of unit and locos/carriages as the pub is located across the road from the line from Gloucester to Bristol/Swindon (before the line splits) Guest Ale board lists the beers and it would seem all 4 pumps are guest (borne out by chatting to a regular).
The pub walls are adorned with many pictures - historic images of Haresfield, the main street pre-tarmac, local farming, the Haresfield station long gone and one of the original owners of the premises - a fascinating look into the past.
This Pub serves 4 changing beers and 0 regular beers.
Beacon & Railway Hotel, Haresfield
Changing beers typically include: Bath Ales - Gem , North Cotswold - Shagweaver
