The Bell Inn is a pretty medieval 16th century free house situated adjacent to St George’s Church, in the centre of Romney Marsh. Under the previous ownership of Mark & Vanda, the real ales and beers won many awards, including CAMRA Branch Pub of the Year in 2010, 2011, 2013 and 2016, they were also a close runner up in 2012.
During the colder months a wood burning stove adds to the comfortable pub and what can be nicer than good beer, good food, great surroundings and interesting conversation?
The Bell Inn is well worth finding and is steeped in Marshland History as it was once the centre of the Romney Marsh Owlers (Smugglers).
