Sympathetically restored after a serious fire in 2017, this 13th-century thatched inn, with its cob walls, oak beams and woodburner fires, has retained all of its old world charm. Three and sometimes four changing real ales are available, with usually at least one of these coming from a local brewery. Very good home-cooked food is served, either in the bar or the adjacent raised restaurant area, while the Sunday roast is also popular.
