Cosy, friendly country local community pub with low beamed ceiling, stone/wooden floors, open fire, upright piano, a cabinet with vintage beer bottles/tankards and walls decorated with antiques, local photos and memorabilia (including some brushes). Outside there are benches at the front next to pair of large stable doors and in the lovely old English style garden at the rear, that includes a potting shed that can be booked for eating in the summer.
The bar serves four ales from various local breweries and a cider. Locally sourced food is served from an ever changing menu. The building is over 600 years old and has previously been a school and a brush makers.
