Built in 1874 on the site of an older inn in the village centre, the Buck has a large comfortable lounge with open fire and a separate low-ceilinged, stone-flagged Hikers Bar (separate entrance) with a wood-burning stove. Patrons can dine in either part of the pub, and dogs and muddy boots are welcome in all areas of the pub. Table reservations are encouraged, especially at weekends and evenings. Note:Bus services are not frequent, please check timetables. Under new management since August 2021.
