Classic Victorian village local with original cast-iron lattice windows, in a tiny isolated hamlet close to both Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire. The pub has a band of local regulars. There is an aquarium in the lounge bar. Occasional quiz nights are held. An annual beer festival takes place in September. Parties can pre-book food at times when it is normally unavailable, however regular food vans are available at weekends.
