The Buxton, named after local social reformer Sir Thomas Foxwell Buxton, features a ground floor pub, with a standalone open kitchen and bar with counter seating and a European food menu (expect dishes like asparagus with polenta chips and stracciatella, Dexter beef with celeriac remoulade, and treacle tart with clotted cream), and a seven-storey hotel with 15 bedrooms. Sister pub to the Culpepper. 2 hand pumps unused July 2023 and removed by April 2024.
