A Friendly, busy high-street venue near both bus and Metro stations.

Formerly operating as a cafe in the mornings and afternoons and as a bar in the evenings, the pub now operates from the rear of the building at The Backroom @ Café Metro which has a larger capacity and is accessed at the end of the same side street / alley off Church Street the Metro stop is located.

The Backroom @ Cafe Metro’s main room has a friendly atmosphere with good seating. A separate servery features a well-stocked bottleshop.

A changing beer board of 4 different ales and 1 regular and 2 regular ciders. Craft and Belgium beers are also available.

Large cobs , bar snacks and pork pies are always available. There is a smoking area with extra seating outside.

Regular beer festivals are held and occasional live bands.
