This popular real ale pub was refurbished in 2017 to give it a smart new interior which retains the two room feel with a divider splitting the bar. There are 12 handpumps, but currently the beer range is 7 with 8 on the weekend. Beers are mainly sourced from SIBA using breweries within a 50 mile radius, but occasionally beers from further afield are featured. Monday is darts night, Wednesday Crib and Thursday Poker.
Historic Interest
The first mention of this inn was in 1671. It was extensively altered in 1912/13 to give it a Victorian style appearance.
