This Pub is Closed Long Term

Historic Donnington castle is a ten minute walk from the pub. Less than a mile from Newbury Clock Tower. Now operated as a sister pub to the Red House, Marsh Benham. There are several different seating areas. The bar and courtyard level is a few steps lower than the main entrance level. Sunday newspapers are available. Light interior decor with fresh flowers. Car parks adjacent to pub and across road.

Closing time may be earlier than shown if no customers remain.

Facebook post dated 6/11/2022 'With great sadness after 5 years, we have had to make the hard decision to close The Castle Pub.

With the current cost of living crisis and prices rising it was sadly too difficult!

We want to say a massive thank you to everyone for the support over the years and the great friendships! '
