Originally a late 18th-century farmhouse, it became a public house in 1810.
Completely renovated over lockdown and re-opened as the Charlton in November 2021, a free house. with a cosy traditional village pub atmosphere. It has retained its 18th Century feel with flag stone floors and original oak bar and furniture.
