Country pub with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. Dating back to the mid-1800s, it was once a customs and excise house. The public bar retains a flagstone floor. These days it is heavily food and family-oriented, with good children's facilities including a large outdoor play area. Usually four ales on hand pump including one local ale. Camping is available for motor caravans only but has 3 luxury en-suite rooms for bed and breakfast. May close earlier in the winter.
