The County is now run by Beerhouses. Freshly refurbished in a contemporary style with an Art Deco twist, but retaining the original bar and coving partitions. Magnet windows and a John Smiths exterior lamp are retained as a cheeky nod to previous ownership. Six handpumps dispense beers sourced from Yorkshire, mainly from micros, and there are four craft keg lines. There is a rear function room, and the pub is very handy for a drink after an event in Huddersfield Town Hall. On Sundays, snacks only are available but occasional food events also take place.
