The pub has its origins in the 15th century. It has undergone many changes in recent years, with hand pumps replacing the stillage, but the bar area still retains some of its original character. The small rooms, low ceilings and large open hearth help in this respect. A mummified cat that was found in the roof is displayed in the pub. Cats were put into the roof of buildings to ward off evil spirits. Outside there is a patio and the River Stour runs at the bottom of the car park.
This Pub serves 1 changing beer and 2 regular beers.
