NOTE: This description was written in 1998 and may be out of date. A former manor house, whose history can be traced back to Saxon times, it was converted ten years ago into a high class 48 room hotel. It is approached along a long drive from the A540, opposite the southern junction to Mollington village. The A La Carte restaurant will set you back £40 a head. It is encouraging to see support for one of Cheshire's own micro-breweries.
