Formerly the home of Frank Goddard, a British Heavyweight Boxing Champion. A remote country inn, which is an absolute gem, and well worth a visit. Upon entering the pub, it resembles someone's front room with a cosy and friendly atmosphere. Listed as an asset of community value on Friday 24th April 2015 it closed the following Thursday, 30th. Saved by the community after much campaigning, fund-raising and a share offer it re-opened on 1st December 2016. Also open Wednesday 10am-noon as Post Office, Coffee Shop and Library, and Tuesday 18:30-22:30 when darts team are at home.
