The Dolphin is a very friendly local where anybody can feel welcome. Lively conversation takes place at the bar but havens of quiet are also available. A beer garden also used for smoking is situated at the read of the pub. Sports are available on TV/radio. Meetings can be booked in a separate room. There are 3 Robinsons house beers, plus up to two rotating beers from the Robinsons range; this includes Old Tom in the winter. It is also a popular pub for dog walkers and people travelling the canal via towpath or water. The Buxton bus No 58 from Macclesfield runs hourly (M-Sa).
