This former archetypal red brick street corner local which dates back to late Victorian times underwent a complete refurbishment costing something like £400,000 in mid-2014 which also included the most welcome, after a gap of over twenty years, re-introduction of real ale. The newly named Earl of Pitt Street is however still recognisable as and operates as a "Pub". Interesting art work now abounds, fires back in use, dart board, and note the one-off design curtains. Restaurant and smoking area upstairs. Very handy for St. James' Park the home of Newcastle United Football Club so crowded on match days.
This Pub serves 2 changing beers and 1 regular beer.
