Back street pub renamed and with new signage. No real ale when last visited, although there has been Greene King IPA.
Historic Interest
Its license was transferred from the closing Aldeburgh Cross. Although this pub building was only opened in 1959, there was an earlier pub of the same name somewhere nearby (possibly on the same site) which was listed in the 1910 Lowestoft Rate book as being somewhere between 24 & 56 Park Rd. This earlier pub evidently goes back some time; Park St is shown on the 1884 Town Plan as Albert St (though the pub isn't marked). Photographs of this pub and more historical information about it can be found at suffolk.camra.org.uk/pub/687
