Originally opened around 1935, this cosy one roomed pub on the East side of the river with an open fire, is located opposite Grape Lane, near the Captain Cook museum.
Noted for regular folk and Irish music sessions, with the Sunday afternoon session being particularly famous.
Opening the full hours, it offers four ever changing real beers, as well as two ciders.
Traditional 'Yorkshire Tapas' bar snacks are enhanced by having permission to also bring into the pub your own take-away fish and chips. They even provide the salt and vinegar!
