Located at the Whipsnade Zoo end of the village, this 19th century, well-run, traditional pub has several drinking and dining areas. Popular for food especially Sunday roasts (booking advisable) with pub classics available in varying portion sizes. Children and pets are welcome and a large selection of board games is available for use. The feature windows were installed in the 1930s when the pub was purchased by Mann, Crossman and Paulin.
