A 15th-century coaching inn in a famously picturesque village, just up the hill from the pond. A friendly local with a warm atmosphere, it has a heavily beamed bar area with an open fire, and a separate restaurant and function room. There is also a garden for better weather. Popular with cyclists, walkers and locals; families are also welcome. There are normally four beers on from different local breweries including Mauldons, Green Jack, and Wibblers. The food menu features only pizzas with old favourites and some interesting variations.
