The earliest parts of the building date back to the 17th Century. It has been an alehouse since 1764. A wood panelled, single room pub on two levels with a separate cocktail, lounge bar beyond. It occupies a large site with patio area, beer garden and car park. Various guest ales can include beers from smaller breweries. August bank holiday beer festival is held each year. Traditional food.
The building also houses an adjoining Indian restaurant, the Bengal Fox, which is a separate business.
This Pub serves 2 changing beers and 3 regular beers.
