A 17th-century coaching inn in a picturesque village on the Essex/Suffolk border, featuring an open fire in the main bar, a courtyard rear garden and further seating at the front. On Wednesday evening a complimentary cheese board is offered, with reduced-price real ale and wine all evening. Live bands perform and quiz nights take place throughout the year. The outside barn has been converted into a games room.
