Upmarket "pub" within a five-star hotel
The Great Central Pub has its own entrance street entrance within this large 5-star hotel. It serves a few draught beers including Guinness at the sort of prices one would expect; and accepts walk-ins. There are bar food and pub classics food menus available which include a Sunday roast.
The main hotel also has a cocktail bar, the Mirror Bar; and another drinking area in the Garden Terrace.
Historic Interest
The Hotel Great Central was built in 1899 as one of the Victorian great railway hotels. The building was designed around a courtyard unique in London at that time, and provided a dramatic entrance for guests.
