Improve This Listing

Beautiful friendly thatched pub dating from about 1685, situated opposite the village green. Three real ales are available with guest beers changing regularly, and often supplied by local breweries. This rural venue is popular with locals and has an excellent choice of freshly made and locally sourced bar and restaurant meals (no food Sunday evening or Monday). In the past, it provided one of the locations for the first Lovejoy TV series, and has original wooden beams and low ceilings in places.
