Old coaching inn beneath the mighty Forth Bridge as featured in the writings of Robert Louis Stevenson. It has been modernised into a multi-roomed pub but with salvaged furniture and wooden beams creating an 'olde worlde' feel. Very food orientated, but with a drinking area near the bar and a small central snug with real fire. The menu has a good selection of country-pub style dishes available all day.
NOTE: Opens at 7am for breakfasts but alcoholic drinks are not sold until 11am.
WARNING: Sadly real ale is not always available in recent times. Don't know what's going on in a pub that used to regularly sell 3 or 4!
This Pub serves 1 changing beer and 1 regular beer.
