Pleasantly refurbished pub on the Coast to Coast Walk route, tucked away in quiet village. The wood-panelled dining room has a woodburning stove and a pleasant view of Colburn Beck, a tributary of the river Swale. Both quiet room and snug bar feature art deco fireplaces, with original bench seating in the latter.
Current real ale status unclear, following the closure of Richmond Brewery.
