This historic former coaching house was constructed in the 17th Century and gains its maritime name from being built using timbers from a dismantled ship. In 2012 the pub was revitalised as a busy town-centre venue. Wooden beams contribute to the all round atmosphere where welcoming staff add to the old fashioned feel. Three changing real ales, mainly from the Marston's range, always include one from local breweries. A substantial range of gins and tonics are also on offer. The pretty garden has a heated smoking area and BBQ's are occasionally held in the summer months. Live bands play Saturday and Sunday nights.
This Pub serves 1 changing beer and 2 regular beers.
