Rustic-style décor with fake wood beams on rough plaster, wood chairs & tables including some fashioned from old barrels. Narrow walled rear patio garden. On Mondays there is an acoustic jam session from nine. Quiz night Wednesday.

Judging for the competition takes around a year, starting with individual nominations from CAMRA members and tasting panel nominations, leading to a series of rigorous regional heats adhering to a strict blind tasting policy.
