Small multiple roomed roadside pub served by one small bar. All these rooms have their own ambiance, from quite lounge chatter to cheering TV sport fans, sometimes all at the same time. A large conservatory at the rear of the pub leads to the outside beer garden and car park. A popular community local. The pub was saved from supermarket developers when the locals contacted Barnsley CAMRA to assist them with an asset of community value (ACV). This helped the stop if the development thanks to the regulars and villages who also signed a 1000 name petition. The pub is going under refurbishment slowly bit by bit.
