Improve This Listing

The Lamb Inn is located in the quiet village of Eastcombe, is constructed in Cotswold stone and has two levels inside with a terraced garden to the rear with outdoor seating to one side and the front. There is a spacious (for a village pub) carpark.

The 2000 extension to this village local has tripled its size. Clinging to the side of the valley, it now has floors on two levels, including a restaurant, with outstanding views over the Toadsmoor Valley. Three real ales on offer, one local. The garden, with two terraces and a barbecue, offers spectacular sunsets. The USP if one were needed is the view from the rear garden in a Westerly direction allowing one to imbibe whilst the sun puts on a fantastic show setting.

Entry is from the car park on the Southerly side of the pub to the front there is a secluded table layout hedged from the road, further seating is by the door. Entering there is a corridor that runs ahead and down to the lower level where the bar may be found and disabled toilet (more on that later). The hall has a staircase to the right going up to ladies and gents’ toilets. Through the door to the left you find yourself in the lounge bar with a real fire to the Southerly end. Down some steps from the lounge, you move into the open plan restaurant area which has a wall of Westerly facing glass windows allowing the area to be flooded with light and enjoy the view.

Both the bar and restaurant have egress points to the rear of the pub onto a raised covered deck which enjoys a wood burner for cosiness during colder months. Some steps down allow access to the terraced garden.

Disabled access is past the front of the pub in a northerly direction passing the covered heated smoking area and down onto a ramp to the deck from which one can get into the bar or lounge and also access the toilet avoiding the steps.

The restaurant serves only fresh-cooked meals based on local produce; the wine list is good and keenly priced.

The pub is a favourite nesting site for swallows.
