reopened February 2024 with new landlords

Situated alongside the Ashby Canal, where it crosses the A5, the pub was originally an 18th-century coaching inn. It offers free garden side moorings and a large canal side beer garden. The first floor lounge has canal views and an open fire in winter. The downstairs Canal Lounge has level access to the garden, and its own kitchen and bar.

Traditional pub food served, also Sunday Roasts.

Covered outdoor canalside seating.
