Was a Labatts 'Free House' then owned by Enterprise from 1996-2010. Was House/Hot House Bar for a while. Renamed back to Lion & Key. Now a hotel with a "Cafe Bar Grill" open to the public. Keg beer (Fosters, Guinness, Heineken, Strongbow). It also sells a range of bottled beers from the East London Brewery.
Historic Interest
Erected in 1889 on the site of earlier Inns dating back to the 13th century. The name derives from ecclesiastical associations with the Abbey of Stratford Langthorne.
