Large pub on one of Southampton's main roads (A35), probably converted, some time ago, from a Victorian hotel. A single large L-shaped bar serves generously sized areas surrounding it, mostly lounge bar/dining style though a single storey extension to the right has the 'public bar' accoutrements of fruit machines & dartboard. The pub has had a contemporary refurbishment which has left it with a mixture of styles to suit all sorts from diners to those who may prefer the more modern high bar tables. Four handpumps which once served a variety of beers but the range has since been reduced to just one Greene King Beer, changing between IPA and Abbot. The hand-pulled cider is not 'real' under CAMRA's definitions.
This Pub serves 1 changing beer and 0 regular beers.
