Established in 2015, the Mash & Press (formerly Anstey Ale Brewery) is located in a two-storey former bakery not far from the village centre. Originally a brewpub serving Anstey Ales from a 3-barrel plant on the ground floor. The brewery became MonsteX, and in 2023 production moved to Loughborough; but the brewery later closed. The pub now operates as a freehouse selling beers from the nearby Mill Hill Brewery and other local producers. There is a good range of ciders from Charnwood and others. The bar is on the first floor, up steep steps from the yard. An attractive beer garden is at the side. The pub and garden are dog friendly.
