The Nook, properly the Rose & Crown, dates from 1754, and is a legendary real ale pub in the village. Owned and run by the Roberts family for two generations, It has been dispensing beers from its own adjacent brewhouse since 2009, alongside a real cider. Home-cooked food is served Friday to Sunday. There is a popular folk evening, usually held on the first Sunday of the month. Real Ale festivals are held on the weekend before Easter and on the August bank holiday. The log fire is particularly warming on cold winter nights.
