Wow! You have never seen a place like this before. It’s an old 18th century coaching house, (formerly the Star Hotel) which is jam-packed with quirky and zany items - 2 vintage Harley-Davidson motorbikes, a moose head, an old jukebox, a 1920’s cash register, old metal advertising signs such as Brooke Bond, and Wills Capstan. The seating is unique - Edwardian theatre seats, a dentist’s chair, seats from an airliner, complete with fold-away tray. If that doesn’t tempt you, how about a Canberra Jet ejector seat! If you need to go to the toilet, then you may pass a coffin on its mid-western wooden wagon, which might have seen action at Boot Hill. This is not really a pub, it’s a drinking experience which is well worth the effort to find it. Bear in mind that thanks to the place doubling as an antiques emporium, items such as those listed above tend to come and go, so you never know exactly what you might find whenever you walk in. Of the three draught ciders, one is usually quite weak. There is no adjacent parking, but public parking is available by the nearby Tesco store.
