Friendly open plan estate pub kept busy during the week due to various events such as Bingo and Quiz nights, and at weekends with live music and TV sports. In particular rugby is well supported by the pub and clientele.
In 2019 the freeholders have taken on the running the pub directly, as they did some years ago. An ongoing refurb is underway, the garden is being extended by making public what was previously a tenants' private area, and there is a promise of an improved food offering once the kitchen refit is complete.
See if you can find the hidden skittle alley!
Historic Interest
The estate is situated on an old RAF base, and as such roads are RAF-influenced. The pub's name has followed suit, with the original name of 'The Harrier' matching the plane of the same name that performed a flyover upon opening.
