Reopened after an extensive refurbishment at the end of November 2021.
18th century coaching inn with striking half-timbered frontage, unusual for the area, about 1 mile off the Ribble Way footpath. The main bar area has a stone-slab floor and a traditional range in an imposing fireplace. There is a separate small room beyond the bar and a much larger dining area to the right of the main entrance. The large conservatory at the back also caters for diners, and can be hired for functions. Also opens Tueday from 5pm in August.
