This pub is Closed Long Term
Former coaching inn dating back to the 17th-century, situated near to the bridge over the West Okement River. The Plymouth is a friendly pub that brings the welcome and atmosphere of a village pub to an old market town. The ales are usually from West Country brewers, at least one local cider is kept and reasonably priced locally-sourced food is served. Two popular beer festivals take place each May and October.
This Pub serves 2 changing beers and 1 regular beer. A flavoursome house beer is brewed by local Black Tor Brewery, while guest ales are invariably from other west country breweries.
