A large open plan Wetherspoon which opened in 2002. The building was previously the town's Post Office. It is on the periphery of the shopping area and a short walk from the Trent & Mersey Canal. There is a bus stop just outside.
Food is served all day, every day. The pub stocks a wide range of regularly changing real ales including locally produced ones. It also has its own beer 'Poste of Stone' brewed by Lymestone which is only available at this branch and is on sale throughout the year. In addition to the usual two Wetherspoon's beer festivals each year there is also an annual local beer festival which includes 'meet the brewers' nights.
This Pub serves 6 changing beers and 3 regular beers.
