Stone built pub in a corner position at one end of a long thin village, partly hidden behind some other buildings. The bar to the left is divided into three distinct areas, a large part with the counter, fireplace and a TV screen, a semi-walled raised area to the right at the back known as the 'Pig Pen' with soft bench seating, a few tables and chairs and a wall-mounted juke box, and a pool table taking up what's left of the room. At one end of the pool table is another TV screen and at the other a “Ring the Bull” set-up. There is a separate restaurant to the right-hand side as you enter the pub. A regular Theakston Best and Timothy Taylor Landlord are served plus one changing Yorkshire beer.
